1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how The Machine Science Company Pvt Ltd (“Machine Science,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit machinescience.co, submit a form, or use a tool or assessment on our site. We are based in Pune, India.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

Name, work email address, and company name, when you submit a form or request material from us
Email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter
Optional details a form asks for, such as a choice or preference you select
Information you enter into a tool or assessment on our site (for example, your company’s website address and your answers), and the result it produces
Anything you send us by email

If you start a form or assessment but do not finish, we may receive the information you had entered up to that point and the step you reached, so that we can follow up if it seems helpful.

Information collected automatically when you visit the site:

The page you visited and, if present, campaign tracking parameters (UTM source/medium/campaign/term/content) in the URL
The referring website, if any
Approximate location (country, region, city) inferred from your network connection
Date and time of your visit or submission
Your IP address, which our hosting provider processes to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse

If you accept cookies, we also collect analytics and session data as described in Section 3. We do not collect payment information, as no payment is processed on this site.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of tools to understand how visitors use this site. Two of them use cookies and only run if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner shown on your first visit — if you decline, or make no choice, these do not load and no cookies are set by them:

Google Analytics (Google LLC) — tracks page visits, engagement, successful form submissions, and which steps of a tool or assessment you complete (not what you enter)
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — records anonymized session behavior (e.g. scrolling, mouse movement) and generates heatmaps to help us improve the page

One additional tool runs regardless of your cookie choice, because it does not use cookies or track individuals:

Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first, cookie-free measurement of overall site traffic and performance

We also use your browser’s storage. Your cookie choice is kept in local storage. When you move between pages of a form, tool or assessment, your name and email address may be held temporarily in your browser’s session storage so the next page can greet you and complete your request. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.

You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing your browser’s stored site data for machinescience.co, which will show the banner again on your next visit.

4. How we use this information

To respond to your request and, where you ask for one, arrange a call
To send you the material or results you asked for
To send the newsletter, if you subscribed to it
To follow up with you personally about your request or a tool or assessment you started
To understand which pages and campaigns are driving interest in our services
To maintain an internal record of leads and inquiries
To protect the site from spam and abuse, and to improve our tools

5. How we share this information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this site and respond to you:

Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send you confirmations, results and requested material, and to notify our team of your submission
Cloudflare — our hosting, content delivery, security (including rate limiting), and cookie-free traffic analytics provider
Anthropic — an AI provider we use in some of our tools to identify your company and suggest comparable companies. We send only the company website address you enter and the public content of that website, not your name or email address
Google Analytics — website analytics, only if you accept cookies (see Section 3)
Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps, only if you accept cookies (see Section 3)

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required to by law.

6. Data retention

We keep form submissions and related records for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, then delete or anonymise them. You may ask us to delete your information sooner at any time (see Section 8), and we will act on such a request within 30 days.

7. International data transfers

Our service providers operate infrastructure in multiple countries, which means your information may be processed outside India, including in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on our providers’ standard contractual and security safeguards for such transfers.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to withdraw consent (e.g., unsubscribe from our emails at any time via the link in an email or by writing to us, or change your cookie choice per Section 3). 9. Data security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated email sending, request rate limiting, and access controls with our service providers — to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s privacy

This site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
